I use Nature’s Recipe.. for both of my dogs
there are no by-products, wheat or rice flour(onthe recalls), no corn fillers
my puppy is on there lamb and rice and my female is on the senior food and both look great .

well, i raw feed my dogs, but i still like to keep a heads up on the kibble. lately it seems like every big and small company out there are making “natural” dog food kibble. so what do you think is best food?(with understanding that all dogs wont do best on the same food)

Innova, Eagle Pack, Wellness, or Natural Balance. Blue Buffalo is also very good. I personally use Natural Balance.

No Purina, I’ve only heard horrible things about their products from a chemist I know that works there.

Do any of the “Whole Foods” type places offer anything really healthy and tasty?
I know a chemist that MAKES the food at the Purina plant in Colorado. It is NOT a good brand. He gets it free since he works there and doesn’t allow his dogs to eat it since he knows what is in it. Very low quality product!

Purina is actually pretty good for them… But be careful, some high quality dog foods are not good for your pets.

I have found the best food in the world is Orijen, if you can find it. It’s a Canadian company.

Another good choice that is non-corn is Blue Buffalo. You can usually find that at Petco.

    I have a 4 month old German rottweiler puppy who has a very dull coat and is not very energetic. I want to switch to an organic/natural dog food but I also want it to be for large breeds (to keep up with her growth). Help! I do not know what to get! I have been feeding Science Diet Large Breed Lamb and Rice, but she doesn’t like it and it hasn’t helped with the coat. Am at my wits end.

    Check out this site – look for a food with at least 5 stars: http://www.dogfoodanalysis.com. Just remember to make the switch gradually or your could upset your dog’s digestive system.
