Natural Dog Foods Review

Question by Britt: Dog food ADVICE! Wellness, California Natural and Taste of the Wild?
I currently have my 60 pound Pit bull mix on California Natural, his stomachs been getting really red and flakley so my vet recommended a grain-free formula. Does anyone know anything about Wellness or Taste of the Wild. All grain food seems to be wicked expensive. If not those two maybe someone can recommend a different brand of GRAIN-FREE dog food??

Since im feeding my dog all natural dog food like Wellness… would it ok to give them treats made by purnia or other advertised pet treats?

It’s your dog, you can feed crap treats if you want to. But you’d probably change your mind if you actually read the list of ingredients. The majority of crappy treats have a lot of sugar in them, not to mention corn, wheat and other ingredients that are really bad for dogs. Why not try a good quality treat – Zuke’s treats are tiny, chewy (ideal for training rewards) and are top quality. There’s hundreds of others, all made by the companies that also make good dog food.

Question by LaLa: Wellness dog food. How good of quality is it?
I always heard that iams,kibbles,purina,ekubma, and etc is garbage for your dog. I want my dog to live a long healthy life. I have a dalmatian and I know the are known to have kidney problems later on. I want to prevent this. Would feeding my dog all natural food like Wellness be good for his health?

Wellness is good. Iams and all that you listed are crap. They are full of fillers and by-products that are not good for your dog and have no nutritional value.

I prefer grain free foods. I feed taste of the wild.

Hi Everyone, I work in a pet shop, and each month I get a free bag of either Wellness or Natural Balance dog food. I was wondering which brand you think is better quality for my Dachshund/Beagle mix. And if you could please tell me which flavor/type is the best of either brand. Thank You!!

Question by jennifer84corinne: Which is the better dog food: Natural Balance or Wellness?
I use to feed my puppy Wellness when I first got her. Then I switched her to Natural Balance Organics. I have noticed that she eats my parents dogs Wellness Super5mix food. I don’t like switching her food so much but I guess I don’t know which is better.. probably whatever she likes I imagine… hard to know what she likes!

Anyone know the difference between the two brands?
